Tiltridge
vineyard is situated close to Upton on Severn and
close the Bredon Hill. The vineyards were first
established in the late 1980's with the planting
of three grape varieties. Tiltridge produce high
quality still and sparkling wines named after the
composer Edward Elgar who is so closely associated
with this area. The wines are fresh and fruity-
typically of the English style. Nurses
Cottage uses two of their wines for hampers, the
Elgar Medium Dry 2003 and the Elgar Sparkling 2002
(Brut). |

Medium Dry 2003
A light Bouquet is followed by a wine with a complex
fruity character and lovely zingy grapefruit flavours.
A good choice for those who prefer a sweeter wine. Awards:
Highly Commended - UKVA National Wine of the year Competition
2004; Wine Standards Board - Regional Status.
Elgar
Sparkling 2002 ( Brut)
English Quality Sparkling wine. Bottle fermented
by the traditional method, this distinctive wine
is classically clean and dry with a hint of honey.
It continues to improve.
Awards: Bronze Award- Mercian Vineyards Association
Competition 2005; Highly Commended- SW Vineyards
Association Competition 2005.
