Bredon Hill Foods would like to welcome a new meat producer offering you local meats with traceability and flavour, including lamb, pork, beef and Christmas turkeys.

Family History and Traditions
Home Farm is a family run 150 acre mixed working farm, with sheep, cattle, pigs and poultry. The farm has been in the Meadows' family since 1953, when it was bought from Overbury Estates. It is currently run by Mick, Anne and James and is situated in the picturesque village of Bredon's Norton at the foot of Bredon Hill.

Sheep are the main enterprise on the farm. The ewes lamb in the spring and all the lambs are traditionally reared on grass and naturally grown cereals. Home Farm belongs to the Lamb Assured Beef and Lamb Scheme which has very strict rules on welfare.

The Meadows' Family have been rearing and selling Christmas Turkeys for over 50 years. In 1955 Mick's Mum Joan, bred the first turkeys to be reared at Home Farm. The turkeys are reared especially for Christmas; they are housed in barns of straw. Orders are taken for oven ready traditionally reared Christmas Turkeys from October onwards.

They keep Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle on the farm which are traditionally matured on grass for flavour and taste- assurance of traceability guaranteed.

They rear hardy outdoor pigs of all colours! The fact that they are free to root around outside certainly adds to the flavour of the meat. Anne and her team pride themselves on their animal husbandry and always welcome customers who wish to see their stock. All the lamb, beef and pork that they sell is reared on the farm on the slopes of Bredon Hill.

Also available is home-cured ham and bacon, sausages and beef burgers. All is made fresh and meat is cut up on the farm in the meat cutting room. The meat is well hung for flavour, taste and tenderness.

Customers may wish to stock up the freezer, orders can be taken of whole or half boxes (cut to your own specification). Boxes of beef are also available (consisting of top side, rib, slow roasting joints, mince, stewing steak, rump steak, sirloin steak, and fillet of beef) various prices range depending on the size of the box.
